In Indore, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated a new 128-slice CT scan machine at MGM Medical College’s Super Specialty Hospital and unveiled a newly constructed (G+2) block at the Government Dental College. The construction of the block cost around Rs 6 crore. The advanced CT scan machine, donated by the Power Grid Corporation of India Limited as part of its CSR initiative, will enhance the hospital's diagnostic capabilities significantly. CM Yadav cut the ribbon of the CT scan room and received a detailed briefing on the machine's features. The new building, constructed by the Public Works Department, addresses space constraints identified by the Dental Council of India during inspections. Additionally, the state government is installing an OPG machine and 75 dental chair units at the dental college through the Madhya Pradesh Public Health Corporation, benefiting undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as outpatients.
CM Yadav highlighted that these new medical facilities demonstrate the government's dedication to improving healthcare services in the state. The advanced CT scan machine will aid in early disease detection and accurate diagnoses, whereas the new building at the dental college will provide students with access to state-of-the-art facilities.
During his visit to Indore, Yadav also visited the MR-10 situated ISBT, set to be operational by December this year. He announced that Indore will soon house India's largest inter-state bus terminal (ISBT), designed like an airport, which will serve as a significant landmark for both the city and the state. Yadav emphasized that the terminal will represent a notable addition to the state's infrastructure.In anticipation of the upcoming Simhastha religious gathering, the newly constructed 15-acre terminal facility, built at a cost of Rs 101 crore by IDA, is poised to greatly improve the travel experience for passengers. The terminal is capable of accommodating up to 80,000 passengers daily and hosting 1,440 buses round the clock. It will include 14 ticket counters, a parking facility for 1,000 vehicles, 43 bus platforms, a VIP lounge, a food court, and various other amenities. Additionally, the Chief Minister inaugurated a library at Holkar Science College and reassured employees at the Sanchi Dairy Plant that there would be no job cuts. He emphasized the government's commitment to enhancing the dairy sector and supporting dairy cooperatives in the state. The Chief Minister also unveiled the statue of martyr Amrita Devi Bishnoi at the city forest, honoring her community's environmental protection efforts. During his visit to Indore, he sought blessings from Praman Sagar Maharaj and learned about the 'Health of Indore Campaign', which has conducted blood tests for approximately 50,000 people.
